    SIMCOM LAUNCHES ITS NEW-GENERATION LPWA MODULE SOLUTION – SIM7070G/SIM7080G

     

    SIMCom offers a new-generation LPWA module solution SIM7070G/SIM7080G. The two modules both adopt Qualcomm’s new-generation narrow-band IoT cellular chip – MDM9205, which supports LTE Cat M1 (eMTC), NB-IOT (NB1/NB2) and 2G/E-GPRS. It can well satisfy the demand for network connection in different vertical industries. Compared with the previous-generation SIM7000X module series, SIM7070G/SIM7080G have more highlights as the new-generation LPWA module solution.

     

    What is the difference between SIM7070G and SIM7080G?

    SIM7070G and SIM7080G are also NB modules. SIM7080G has the same size of SIM7020G; both are 17.6 X 15.7 X 2.3 mm. For SIM7070G, it is bigger than these two with 24X24X2. 3mm, and it is compatible with SIM868.

    What size is SIM7080G?

    The SIM7080 series adopts LCC and LGA form factor and has a compact size of 17.6mm*15.7mm which makes it ideal for compact products design. The SIM7080 series has powerful expansibility with abundant interfaces including UART, GPIO, PCM, SPI, I2C etc.

     

    What is the baud rate of sim7080?

    Baudrate: 300~3686400 bps. Common baudrate auto-negotiation: 9600/19200/38400/57600/115200 bps. Comes with online development resources and manual (examples for Raspberry Pi/Arduino/STM32).
